About Tanks:

Q: What’s the purpose of the mesh cover?

A: Mesh cover has 2 functions:

  1. Provides UV protection for the bladder and steel frame
  2. A first stage filtering process for the incoming water if a down pipe is directed onto the top surface of the tank.

Q: What tools do I need to install the water tank?

A: No tools required.

Q: What’s the suitable location for my water tank?

A: Water tank should always be positioned on a level smooth solid surface and can be accessed to an existing down pipe or directly into a gutter to collect the roof water. Water Harvesting:

Q:How much water can I collect?

A: The amount of rainwater you will collect is depended on a number of factors, including:

  • The size of your roof – including pitch and shape.
  • The amount of rainfall you experience in your area.
  • The number of down pipes you have leading into the tank.
  • For every millimetre of rain on 1m2 of your roof, you will collect 5 gallons of water.

Q: How long can the water in one tank be used?

A: This of course depends on the usage rate, but as a guide, watering a garden by hose with average pressure would use between 6 to 7 litre’s per minute. So for a 118G/450 litre tank, you could water for approximately 1 hour from full to empty, 2.5 hours for a 264G/1,000 litre tank. And 5 hours for a 538G/2,000 litre tank.
